People Ignore Designs that ignore people — My Journey.

I’m Otuikor Samuel Emmanuel a Graphics | User Interface | User experience designer from Nigeria.

A christian by choice, a tech enthusiast with a degree in Computer Science from the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

My story is that of Discovery, Passion and Increasing Understanding.

I made my first graphics design in 2013, wrote my first HTML code in 2015 and in the past years, I’ve garnered experience ranging from graphics design, branding, frontend as well as backend development.
I have grown as a young eager and excited person, literally committing myself to delevoping my craft and the value of my work in the direction of helping brands and ideas move and excite people - in two words Delivering Awesomeness.

After graduating in 2018, I made the decision to focus on Design (Graphics, User interface and User experience design).

The beauty of designs never stops facinating me and this fans this burning desire to constantly improve my knowledge of design development.

Hence, I started building my skills by studying design articles and case studies. In the same year I started freelancing for SMEs, designing logos, brochures and simple websites. I've been opportuned to work at Heptapixels Interactive as a Website designer (2015 - 2016). Codekago Interactive Limited as an intern Backend Developer (2016 - 2018) and with Vodina West as a graphics designer in 2019 before heading for my National Youth Service.

Fast forward to 2020, I joined the We Japa internship program (figma product design track) and it’s been amazing. Hoping to improve greatly in my user interface career path

If I have my way, I will love to be seen not as the best (or one of the best) designer in town but I'll prefer to stay out of the list – doing my thing, having a great time and delivering awesomeness as I help brands stand out from the crowd of alternatives.
